Physical exercise means the regular movement of the limbs of our body according to rules. It is essential to keep our body fit and mind sound. There are various kinds of physical exercises. Good forms of exercise are walking, swimming, riding, racing, jogging, gymnastics wrestling and playing many outdoor indoor games.
All forms of exercise are not suitable for all men, they depend on age, weight, sex and coherent strength of the respective man, sometimes climate becomes the factor for a man to choose the right exercise. If a weak man takes part in a football game or hokey, he will get tired fast, it may not suit his condition or taste. Those who are apparently strong and stout can take all forms of exercise. They enjoy the freedom to pick one or more exercises from wider range of alternatives. On the other hand, those who are weak or sick are confined by few choices.
In contrast to the earlier time, today people are more materialistic and so their life becomes busier mostly in pursuing of career and profession. Today’s people apparently despise physical exercise not for their apathy to it, but they merely afford to spare little time for exercise. Yet the awareness is rising among many health conscious people who are showing a great deal of enthusiasm despite of their engrossment in their livelihood. People are now realizing how important and essential the exercise is not only to our body, but also to our mind.
A routine exercise can be prolific in many aspects to our life. There are many life-threatening diseases which are primarily derived from an idle body which is devoid of physical activity, such as diabetics, coronary diseases ect. One can easily eradicate the apprehension of these deadly diseases by exercise. Doctors say “prevention is better than cure.” It saves medical expenses as well as increases our life-span. On of the common complains of a city-dweller is the persistent mental stress from the strain of daily life. Exercise can be the best.
